When the body of Private Ben Jennings is shipped home to his family in a quiet village in the heart of the English countryside, no one realizes that accompanying him is something much more dangerous that the landmine that killed him.

Even when villagers start dying they have no idea that they are being attacked by a virus that assaults its victims by duplicating and exacerbating their weaknesses to a point where a common cold could prove fatal.

Ben's sister, Lisa , notices that many of the victims attended the funeral and she voices her opinions to DCI Wheeler and the very attractive Sergeant Byrne who are already suspicious of the army's involvement.

The race is on to find a cure before the crazy Major Collis gives the order to cleanse the village permanently.
